Softball Recap: Commerce Tigers vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears
After flying high against Mountain View last Wednesday, Commerce came back down to earth. The Commerce Tigers fell 16-11 to the Cherokee Bluff Bears on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (ten), the Tigers still had to take the loss.
Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Cherokee Bluff, they pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Commerce will square off against Oglethorpe County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Commerce is facing Oglethorpe County at the right time seeing as Oglethorpe County is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cherokee Bluff, they will challenge Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe Area will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cherokee Bluff surely won't give up without a fight.
