Football Game Preview: Robbinsville Black Knights vs. Wilson Prep Tigers + Official Tickets

After each having a week off, the Robbinsville Black Knights and the Wilson Prep Tigers will shake off the rust and duke it out on the 11th. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Robbinsville sitting on five straight wins and Wilson Prep on seven.

Robbinsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past South Davidson, posting a 41-7 victory. With the Black Knights ahead 41-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Robbinsville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Lovin, who threw for 65 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. What's more, Lovin racked up 156.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another back making a difference was Cameron Allison, who rushed for 51 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Robbinsville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Wilson Prep took on Northside - Pinetown on Friday. The Tigers breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 52-22. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Robbinsville better keep an eye on Travon Usher. He was instrumental in Wilson Prep's win, rushing for 152 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Usher is becoming a predictor of the Tigers' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 7-3 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Robbinsville's record now sits at 10-3. As for Wilson Prep, their record is now 8-5.
