Basketball Recap: Rochester STEM Academy vs. Alden-Conger Knights
Rochester STEM Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Alden-Conger at home and fell 84-45.
Despite the loss, Rochester STEM Academy still got an impressive performance from Ilyas Abdi, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashid Jeylani, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Rochester STEM Academy's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Alden-Conger, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rochester STEM Academy will face off against the Fighting Saints at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Alden-Conger is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
