It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mead had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Kamiakin Braves with a sharp 82-60 win. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Mead's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.9 points over those games. As for Kamiakin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Mead and Kamiakin are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Mead won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Richland at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Richland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Kamiakin, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Lewis & Clark at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kamiakin is facing Lewis & Clark at the right time seeing as Lewis & Clark is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
