Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask York). They breezed past the Leyden Eagles to the tune of 56-0 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Dukes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Eagles are ranked 317th).

The victory was the third in a row for York, bringing their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.7 points on average over those games. As for Leyden, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

York wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 34-11 victory against Oak Park-River Forest on the 26th. As for Leyden, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-0 win against Proviso East on the 26th.
