Baseball Recap: South Central Takes a Loss

South Central was the 6-4 winner over New Bern when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Thursday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brody Brannan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for New Bern, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

South Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 win against Bunn on the 15th. As for New Bern, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Croatan on the 12th.
