Meanwhile, Cyprus came up short against West Jordan on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cyprus was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-18.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cyprus, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
