Basketball Recap: Louise Takes a Loss

Louise lost against Schulenburg back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Louise Hornets lost 57-35 to the Schulenburg Shorthorns. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Schulenburg found their leader in freshman Jenna Guentert, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. Guentert is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Miranda Bonner, who put up ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Louise and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Schulenburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Louise will venture away from home to square off against Bloomington at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Schulenburg, they will welcome Weimar at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
