Preview: Charlotte Christian Knights vs. Charlotte Latin Hawks
The Charlotte Christian Knights will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Charlotte Latin Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Charlotte Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Cannon at home and fell 86-58. Charlotte Christian has not had much luck with Cannon recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite their loss, Charlotte Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Terence Guess, who scored 15 points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Darryuin Sterdavent was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Latin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 53-48 to Charlotte Country Day School.
Charlotte Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Charlotte Latin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.
Charlotte Christian came up short against Charlotte Latin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 55-47. Can Charlotte Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
