Softball Recap: Cabrini Wins Going Away Against Western International

Cabrini won the last time they faced Western International and things went their way on Friday too. The Monarchs blew past the Cowboys 14-4. That's two games straight that the Monarchs have won by exactly ten runs.

The team relied heavily on Hannah Ferrence, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Elena DelCotto was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Cabrini has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Western International, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Coming up, Cabrini will challenge Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Western International, they will take on Cass Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
