South Albany had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-44 win over the Corvallis Spartans. Given the Redhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Spartans are ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Albany's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Corvallis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
