East piles up the points against Campbell County

Recap: East Thunderbirds vs. Campbell County Camels

The East Thunderbirds put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Campbell County for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-26 victory on the road. That looming 72-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for East yet this season.

Despite the loss, Campbell County still got an impressive performance from Lane Hladky, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Hladky set a new season high mark in steals with two.

East's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Campbell County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

East will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rock Springs at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Rock Springs comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Campbell County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Glenwood Springs at 10:00 a.m. on December 16th. Glenwood Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 100th in Colorado, while Campbell County is ranked 21st in Wyoming).
