Soccer Game Preview: Montevallo vs. Hueytown

The Montevallo Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Hueytown Golden Gophers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montevallo has given up an average of 3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Montevallo fell victim to Indian Springs and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Student, falling 9-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hueytown and Bessemer City's game on Thursday was close at halftime, but Hueytown turned on the heat in the second half with four goals. Hueytown was the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Bessemer City. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Gophers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Montevallo now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hueytown, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
