Recap: Barringer Blue Bears vs. Weequahic Indians
On Saturday, Barringer earned a 50-40 win over Weequahic.
Weequahic's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaun Hamilton, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Hamilton pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyhir Barlow, who scored 17 points.
Barringer's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Weequahic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
Barringer will head out on the road to face off against Nutley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nutley is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Weequahic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against St. Joseph at 2:30 p.m. on January 21st. St. Joseph is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
