A Season-Best Performance from Cibastian Broughton Leads Fleming Island over Creekside
On Friday, Fleming Island had to settle for second even though Cibastian Broughton put up the best numbers he has all season. Broughton threw for 359 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 90 yards on only ten carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He has become a key player for Fleming Island: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Creekside's probably not too fond of Broughton given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Broughton saw the Knights), he threw for 221 yards and five touchdowns.

Rounding off our Top Five is Brian Case of Ponte Vedra. Case rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.0 yards per carry.
Ponte Vedra's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Case and Ponte Vedra will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Middleburg at 6:00 p.m. on October 14th.
