Mt. Mansfield entered their tilt with Essex on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Essex Hornets 68-54. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-48 back in December of 2024.

Mt. Mansfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Essex, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Mansfield has already played their next game (against Rice Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Essex will be playing at home against Burlington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Burlington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Essex likes a good challenge.
