Waccamaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 13-9 to the Goose Creek Gators. Even though they lost, the Warriors' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Addison Stewart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two triples and four RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Eleanor Parler, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Waccamaw's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Goose Creek, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Coming up, Waccamaw will venture away from home to square off against Andrews at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Goose Creek, they will welcome Wando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
