Basketball Recap: Pembroke Pines Charter Takes a Loss

Pembroke Pines Charter lost against Cypress Bay back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cypress Bay Lightning. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Danielle Oz went supernova for Cypress Bay, going 7 of 15 en route to 23 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Oz a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Ellie McKinney, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Pembroke Pines Charter's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Cypress Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 14-4 record this season.

Pembroke Pines Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-52 defeat against NSU University on the 23rd. As for Cypress Bay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-16 victory against Boyd Anderson on the 24th.
