Basketball Recap: East Moline United Comes Up Short

East Moline United was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the DeKalb Barbs, falling 42-17. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Barbs are ranked 93rd).

East Moline United's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for DeKalb, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

East Moline United will be taking part in a tournament against Alleman at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for DeKalb, they will be playing at home against West Chicago at 2:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
