Volleyball Recap: Miramonte Comes Up Short

Miramonte saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the College Park Falcons. The Matadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

College Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriel Rollins, who had nine assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Rollins a new career-high. Kevin Bayaraa also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for College Park, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Miramonte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Livermore on the 15th. As for College Park, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against James Logan on the 15th.
