Volleyball Recap: Morgan Township Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hammond Academy of Science & Tech

It's playoff time, and Morgan Township had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Cherokees, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Morgan Township's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lexi Rippe led the charge by getting nine digs and four assists. That's the most assists Rippe has posted over her last five matchups. Maria Ising was another key player, getting five aces and three digs.

Morgan Township was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
