Basketball Game Preview: Rio Grande Ravens vs. Menaul Panthers

The Rio Grande Ravens will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Menaul Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Rio Grande is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. The contest between the Ravens and Highland didn't end well, with the Ravens falling 74-60. The loss continues a trend for the Ravens in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite their defeat, Rio Grande saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Corde Peele, who posted 20 points and six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Adan Velasquez, who had 14 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Menaul lost 63-43 to Sandia Prep on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.
