Basketball Recap: Kobe Broome Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

Lake Norman Christian's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Sunday. They came out on top against the Shining Star Sports Academy Panthers by a score of 50-43.

Lake Norman Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kobe Broome, who posted 13 points along with six boards and three steals. Broome has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Todd, who had 15 points and eight rebounds.

Shining Star Sports Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cheikh Fall, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Shamar Curley was another key player, putting up ten points.

Lake Norman Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Shining Star Sports Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Lake Norman Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-31 victory against North Hills Christian on the 14th. As for Shining Star Sports Academy, they will take on Greater Destiny Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater Destiny Prep Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three contests.
