Softball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Allentown Central Catholic came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-1 to the Parkland Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on April 14th.

Allentown Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Menecola, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Allentown Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Parkland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Looking ahead, Allentown Central Catholic will head out to face off against William Allen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Canaries at the right time seeing as the Canaries are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Parkland, they will face off against Whitehall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans will need to watch out since the Zephyrs have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
