Recap: GV Christian Guardians vs. Laughlin Cougars
The GV Christian Guardians had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Laughlin with a sharp 52-27 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory GV Christian has posted since December 14, 2023.
It was another big night for Terrance Turner, who scored 21 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Deomani Loveland was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
GV Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Laughlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GV Christian on the road again on Tuesday and play against Lake Mead Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Laughlin, they will take on Adelson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adelson has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
