Baseball Game Preview: Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights vs. Bethlehem Catholic Hawks

The Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights will square off against the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wyoming Seminary College Prep was handed a eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Greater Nanticoke Area 5-4.

Colin Donovan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Donovan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Donovan wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Shaun Behrens, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Bethlehem Catholic made sure to put some runs up on the board against William Allen on Thursday. Bethlehem Catholic came out on top against William Allen by a score of 11-6. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Canaries recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Tyler Santay looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Zach McCoy was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Deegan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The win got Wyoming Seminary College Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Bethlehem Catholic, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
