Basketball Recap: Linn County Extends Winning Streak to Five

Linn County waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 win over the Brunswick Wildcats. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Wildcats are ranked 134th).

Linn County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Brunswick, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 15-2 record.

Linn County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-49 loss against Meadville on the 27th. As for Brunswick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-22 victory against Santa Fe on the 27th.
