Volleyball Game Preview: Van Alstyne Panthers vs. Sanger Indians

The Van Alstyne Panthers will take on the Sanger Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Van Alstyne didn't have quite enough to beat Richland and fell 3-2.

Van Alstyne took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-20, 19-25, 25-27, 25-19, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Sanger didn't have quite enough to beat Panther Creek on Friday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sanger sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-12.

Sanger's loss dropped their record down to 21-15. As for Van Alstyne, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-11.
