Baseball Recap: Bishop Stang Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with St. Mary's

Bishop Stang faced St. Mary in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Bishop Stang fell just short of St. Mary's by a score of 3-1. The contest marked Bishop Stang's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Landon Cardoza was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
