Softball Recap: Key West Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sebastian River on Friday, Key West came back down to earth. Key West lost 14-3 to the John Carroll Catholic Rams on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Conchs of the 6-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Key West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilee Gage, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Key West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for John Carroll Catholic, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Key West beat John Carroll Catholic by a score of 7-6 later that day.
