Basketball Recap: Oglethorpe County Comes Up Short

Oglethorpe County lost to Rabun County back in January of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Wildcats, falling 59-34. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oglethorpe County's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Rabun County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oglethorpe County and Clarke Central will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Rabun County, they will head out to face off against Lakeview Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
