Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. Osage Indians
The Linn Wildcats lost against the Osage Indians back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Linn fell 60-50 to Osage. While losing is never fun, Linn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Osage is ranked 50th).
Despite the loss, Linn still got an impressive performance from Kiana Hostetler, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Hostetler hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivien Baker, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Linn dropped their record down to 12-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Osage, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Linn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-37 win vs. St. Elizabeth on the 9th. Osage will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eldon at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Eldon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
