Baseball Recap: Las Animas Trojans vs. Rye Thunderbolts
Las Animas was the 2-1 winner over Rye when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell just short of the Thunderbolts by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braydon Ortiz put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
