Volleyball Recap: Northern Garrett Beats Mountain Ridge for Their Seventh Straight Victory

Northern Garrett had won six straight games and Violet Taylor did her part to make it seven on Thursday. Everything went the Huskies' way against the Mountain Ridge Miners as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Taylor, who had 21 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Northern Garrett not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mountain Ridge between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.

Northern Garrett's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Mountain Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Garrett will host Berlin Brothersvalley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
