Newark Catholic came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Ridgewood Generals 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Green Wave, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Newark Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Ridgewood, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-10.

Looking ahead, Newark Catholic will take on Willard at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ridgewood, they will be playing at home against Union Local at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
