Softball Recap: Eunice Takes a Loss

Eunice and Rehoboth Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Eunice had to settle for second. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynx. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lynx earlier this season, when they won 15-11.

Halley Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Rehoboth Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Eunice and Rehoboth Christian are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Cardinals will square off against Raton on Wednesday. As for Rehoboth Christian, they will take on Estancia on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something the Lynx surely won't give up without a fight.
