Basketball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern lost to Lanesville back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Musketeers took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Musketeers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lanesville, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Eastern will face off against North Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Musketeers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.82 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lanesville, they will take on Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 50.6 points per game this season.
