Bishop Snyder hasn't had much luck against Baldwin recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cardinals will face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bishop Snyder is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against Bradford as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won three in a row.

Chloe Gotto and Caitlyn Boshell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Gotto pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Meanwhile, Boshell pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Gotto went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Boshell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Boshell a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lola Aberly was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Faith Bennett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop Snyder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Baldwin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over Trinity Christian Academy on Monday.
Like Bishop Snyder, Baldwin also got a great game from a two-way player: Hayden Peebles. On the mound, she didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, Peebles is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Baldwin let Madison Crews and Makaila Fry run wild. Crews went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Fry got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. That triple was Crews' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Screws, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Bishop Snyder's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Baldwin, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop Snyder has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Baldwin struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bishop Snyder might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Baldwin in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
