Basketball Recap: Omaha Eagles vs. Lead Hill Tigers

The Omaha Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-40 victory over Lead Hill. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Omaha also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Lead Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nolan Turner. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with four steals and two blocks. Turner is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for five games straight.

Omaha's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Lead Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-22.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Omaha will take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lead Hill, they will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
