Baseball Recap: Bishop Ready Comes Up Short

Bishop Ready lost against Grandview Heights back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Silver Knights fell 7-2 to the Bobcats. That's two games in a row now that the Silver Knights have lost by exactly five runs.

Bishop Ready saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Cheatham, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Ready and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Grandview Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Grandview Heights will square off against Grove City Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Ready will be paying especially close attention to the Bobcats' game: after the Bobcats face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Bishop Ready again at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
