Baseball Recap: Mohawk Comes Up Short

Mohawk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 25-4 to the East Linn Christian Academy Eagles. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Mustangs' highest-scoring match to date.

Justin Cassidy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Caleb Ogg, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Mohawk's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East Linn Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Mohawk is taking a road trip to take on Crosshill Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. East Linn Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Oakridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
