Basketball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Federal Hocking Lancers, falling 72-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Lancers are ranked 107th).

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Federal Hocking, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will host Warren at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Federal Hocking, they will be playing at home against Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
