Softball Recap: Altamont Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Altamont came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Dieterich Movin Maroons by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Grace Lemke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Altamont's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Dieterich, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
