Preview: Wilde Lake Wildecats vs. Meade Mustangs
The Wilde Lake Wildecats will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Meade Mustangs at 9:00 p.m. on December 28th. Wilde Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Meade is ranked 37th).
Wilde Lake's 21-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Magruder on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Meade waltzed into their contest Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They breezed by Francis Scott Key at home to the tune of 63-33. That 63-33 margin sets a new team best for Meade this season.
Lucaya Baldridge was his usual excellent self, scoring ten points. Ashton Turman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Wilde Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Meade, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Wilde Lake was taken down by Meade 99-46 in their previous matchup back in December of 2015. Thankfully for Wilde Lake, Tristan Easton (who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
