Baseball Recap: Pioneer Victorious

Pioneer's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Fairfield Falcons. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Joe Mendez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pioneer's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Dahler, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Eddie Gill, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
