Community Christian won the last time they faced Christ Covenant and things went their way on Friday too. The Community Christian Cyclones were the clear victor by a 47-21 margin over the Christ Covenant Spartans. The Cyclones have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Community Christian to victory were Jared Kovach and Evan Gattis. Kovach went 6-for-10 en route to 14 points along with five boards and four steals, while Gattis posted 16 points. Kovach is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Beamon, who scored eight points and seven rebounds.

Community Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Christ Covenant now has a losing record of 12-13.

Coming up, Community Christian and Faith Christian Academy will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Christ Covenant, they and New Bern Christian Academy will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. New Bern Christian Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Christ Covenant surely won't give up without a fight.
