Mount Airy won the last time they faced East Surry and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Granite Bears came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mount Airy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while East Surry are ranked 488th).

Barack Galloway and Chris Castillo scored all three of Mount Airy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Mount Airy's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for East Surry, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16-3.

Coming up, Mount Airy will square off against Forbush at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forbush will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Mount Airy surely won't give up without a fight. East Surry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
