Softball Recap: Beekmantown's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beekmantown waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Beekmantown got a great performance from Addison Jewell as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Ashley Barnes was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ava Dauphinais, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Beekmantown's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Northern Adirondack, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Beekmantown will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against AuSable Valley at 4:30 p.m. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.77 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. Northern Adirondack does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
