Baseball Recap: Cardinal Comes Up Short

After flying high against Interstate 35 on Saturday, Cardinal came back down to earth. The Comets fell just short of the Chariton Chargers by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Cardinal's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Chariton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-6.

As of now, neither Cardinal nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
