Cactus Shadows owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They blew past the St. Mary's Knights 8-0. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.

Grayson Headon looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carter Brown, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Evan Hanish, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Cactus Shadows' win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for St. Mary's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.
